This has been a great year for books and I read many that I'd recommend. Of all the books my favorites were:

We Ride Upon Sticks by Quan Berry
Set in the 1980s near Salem, Massachusetts. Great characters and dialog in a coming of age story about a field hockey team. Full of 80s nostalgia and witchcraft.
Small Things Like These by Claire Keegan
A heartwarming short story perfect for reading at Christmas. Set in a small Irish town in 1985, the story follows Bill Furlong and his discovery of the Magdalene laundries at the nearby convent.
Four Thousand Weeks by Oliver Burkeman
An excellent nonfiction book about time management and making the most of our limited time. Focuses more on practicalities and how to accept what you can and cannot control.
