In 2005 I was given the chance to redesign the HOW Design Conference website. It was a big departure from the past that yielded excellent results. For the first time, Flash was used to add interactivity with a real-time conference countdown and explorative map of Chicago surrounding the conference venue. Thanks to smart design, user-friendly navigation, and intelligent coding, the site received accolades from many multimedia portals such as Net Diver and Phirebrush. Response to the site was overwhelming; the conference sold out for the first time in its history. In 2006 and 2007 similar designs were used following the success of 2005.
The 2005–2007 websites are no longer online.
